Pityopsis aspera, commonly known as pineland silkgrass or grass-leaved goldenaster, is a member of the Aster family endemic to the southeastern region of the United States. There exist multiple varieties, including: P. aspera var. adenolepsis, P. aspera var. aspera, and Heterotheca adenolepsis.
